The CFCH-AS is happy to host a special workshop on treating Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) with Maureen Turner. The workshop is intended for those with a working knowledge of clinical hypnosis such as ASCH (American Society of Clinical Hypnosis) Level 1. There will be Case Studies, Videos, Demos, and Handouts including Assessment Tools provided during the workshop.

This innovative workshop will provide participants with all the necessary tools to begin treating ADD/ADHD with Clinical Hypnosis. Participants will come away with a solid understanding of the latest research, as well as hands-on practical tips and techniques using hypnosis to treat the associated symptoms, comorbidities, time management challenges and negative self-talk. Small group practice included.


Maureen Turner

MEd, LCMHC, RNBC, LCSW, Approved ASCH Consultant, ADHD-Certified Clinical Service Provider (ADHD-CCSP)


Maureen is a nationally and internationally featured speaker, educator and psychotherapist/hypnotherapist, specializing in ADHD. She brings her 52 years of experience as a therapist, 29 years as a hypnotherapist and 20 years of her background as an administrator of parent and child mental health programs to her independent hypnotherapy/psychotherapy practice & training programs. Maureen has identified, diagnosed and treated over 1500 individuals with ADHD and associated comorbidities.

This workshop is approved for 14 ASCH CEU hours.

This workshop will integrate current research, techniques, treatment, and applications. Participants will be able to:

  • Incorporate the treatment of ADHD/ADD in their clinical practice
  • Define ADHD/ADD as a foundational self-regulation disorder
  • Understand the impact of Executive Function Disorders (EFD) on ADHD/ADD
  • Appreciate the dangers and complications associated with undiagnosed ADHD/ADD/EFD
  • Utilize and apply approved diagnostic procedures and handout examples
  • Raise awareness of females and minority cultures being those most undiagnosed
  • Prevent common comorbids from high jacking an ADHD/ADD diagnosis
  • Assess negative self-talk, learn to reframe to positive “anchors” and “retrieve”
  • Experience, learn, and practice the art of positive self-hypnosis and its applications
  • Have experiential time to practice new skills by oneself and/or with other participants
  • Learn and explain the power of metaphor on the unconscious mind
  • Connect case histories with empowerment strategies for change
  • Make opportunities to establish and practice Ego-Strengthening Techniques
  • Access handouts for over 50 tested applications for symptom management
  • Identify resources, strategies, and tools for clients to improve time management and long-term goal attainment

 is a professional society made up of licensed health professionals in Alberta. Members are trained in the responsible, appropriate and ethical use of clinical hypnosis.

All full members are also required to be regulated healthcare providers in the province of Alberta, Canada or equivalent if coming from another jurisdiction.
